Lisini has created a very respectable expression of Sangiovese. The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino is rich and intense both in terms of appearance and bouquet. Aromas peel back with delicate layers of dark fruit, pressed rose petal, baking spice and grilled herb. The wine is not overtly rich or opulent. Yet, it delivers a steady approach in terms of mouthfeel and texture. This is a mid-weight Brunello that can be consumed pretty much immediately.

Tasted blind. Healthy mid ruby. Fine, perfumed and focused nose with a little lift. Quite pure, concentrated and embryonic fruit on the palate. Great balance and style and with wonderful bite and length. (WS)
