Tasting notes
Bright, dark red. Bright aromas of redcurrant, pomegranate, spices and minerals; higher-pitched than Talley's other 2002 pinot releases. Juicy, sappy and nicely balanced, with flavors of fresh berries, baking spices, bitter chocolate and tar. Also showing its oak, but boasts a strong core of lively fruit and a vibrant, long aftertaste.

The deep ruby/purple-hued 2002 Pinot Noir Rincon Vineyard (4,557 bottles) boasts a superb bouquet of blackberry and cherry fruit intermixed with forest floor and earth characteristics. Abundant quantities of opulent flavors are found in this exceptionally elegant, finesse-styled effort. It coats the palate, but it is neither heavy nor alcoholic. This beauty possesses measured richness, nobility, and intensity with a finish that lasts 50 seconds. Tel. (805) 489-0446
