Tasting notes
(27% each of garnacha and cabernet sauvignon, 26% tempranillo and 10% each of carinena and merlot) Bright ruby. Highly expressive scents of red- and blackcurrant, cherry, minerals, cedar and flowers; smells like a top-notch Pauillac. Fresh and precise, with sweet red berry and cassis flavors, silky texture and an exotic floral pastille quality. Becomes spicier on the strikingly pure and very long finish.

The 2005 Miserere is 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Garnacha, 26% Tempranillo, 10% Merlot, and 10% Carinena aged for 12 months in French oak and bottled unfiltered. Dark ruby-colored, it offers a complex bouquet of smoke, slate, scorched earth, and assorted red and black fruits. Elegant, ripe, and sweetly-fruited, this nicely balanced wine will evolve for 2-3 years and provide pleasure through 2017. Importer: Jorge Ordonez, Fine Estates From Spain; tel. (781) 461-5767
