Tasting notes
Darkly floral and intense, the 2005 Pinot Noir Grace Vineyard grumbles up from the glass with a beguiling blend of crushed fall leaves, rosemary, black olive, spiced blood orange, steeped plums and a dusting of cocoa. It smooths over the palate with fleshy textural waves, delivering depths of citrus-tinged dark red berries and hints of savory spice. It finishes long and dramatic, with a subtle touch of tannin still holding on as notes of sous bois gradually fade.

The 2005 Pinot Noir Grace Vineyard is pale to medium ruby in color with a wonderful concentrated nose of dried black cherries, blackcurrants and black licorice with touches of wood smoke, pencil shavings, cedar chest and fresh tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the mouth with ripe, warm black fruits with layers of exotic spice and earth, framed by soft tannins and juicy acidity, finishing very long and packed with fruit, earth and spice layers.
