Tasting notes
Bright lemon-yellow color. Orange peel, spices and mint on the rather restrained nose. Very fat, rich and dense but light on its feet. A strong peachy flavor is enlivened by nervy acidity. Intriguingly tactile chardonnay that's quite unevolved today but is extremely promising. My Burgundy light went on as soon as I put this in my mouth.

The 2001 Chardonnay Hudson E-Block exhibits a light gold color as well as scents of butter, caramel, and hazelnuts. Made in an exuberant, medium to full-bodied style, with loads of fruit, outstanding purity, and a long, lusty finish, this classic Hudson Vineyard Chardonnay should drink well for 5-6 years. Tel. About the producer

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
