Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 True Vineyard Immigrant—a blend of 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 34% Merlot—bursts from the glass with bold blackberry preserves, baked plums and blueberry compote notions with hints of Chinese five spice, cedar chest, candied violets and chocolate box plus a waft of licorice. Full-bodied, rich and decadently fruited, it packs in the black and blue fruit layers with a firm yet wonderfully plush texture and tons of spicy sparks on the very long finish. 377 cases were made.

The 2016 Immigrant True Vineyard, Outpost's blend of co-fermented Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Franc, is fabulous. Sumptuous and beautifully layered, the 2016 is super-expressive, even in the early going. The blend of Cabernet aromatics and structure, along with Merlot fruit yields a wine of notable distinction and class. In 2016, the flavors are bright, precise and also wonderfully lifted.
