Tasting notes
Medium red. Slightly medicinal aromas of maraschino cherry and minerals. Dense, spicy and sweet, with lovely intensity to the flavors of cherry, chocolate and menthol. This has a penetrating quality and an impression of weightlessness. Focused, precise and young.

Good red-ruby. Subdued but pure aromas of blackberry, licorice and bitter chocolate. Juicy, intensely flavored and perfumed but quite closed today, with strong mineral acidity giving it a penetrating quality. Builds nicely toward the back, but finishes with rather tough tannins and a medicinal coolness.
About the producer

Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s most important wine producers. The family-owned estate, now in the hands of the seventh generation, is one of the largest in the region, with significant holdings in both the Côte d’Or and the Côte Chalonnaise.
