Looking first at the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch, this blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Cabernet Franc was brought up in 100% new French oak. It’s a hands down, sensational wine that’s all about potential at the moment. Sporting a deep, inky color to go with notes of crème de cassis, graphite, crushed rocks and pen ink, it’s incredibly concentrated, backward, tight and focused on the palate. Forget bottles for 4-5 years (or more) and enjoy over the following two decades or more.

The 2013 Oakville Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in 100% new French oak and is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Cabernet Franc. Dense ruby/purple with blueberries and spring flowers in the aromatics intermixed with some background oak, underbrush and forest floor, it is full-bodied, ripe, opulent and ideal for drinking now and over the next 15 or so years. Unfortunately, there is very little of it left.
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, has turned out beautifully. Tightly wound and dense, this powerful Cabernet exudes intensity. Expressive savory and mineral notes wrap around the huge finish as this dark, layered Cabernet shows off its personality. There is an explosive energy to the 2013 that is hard to resist.
Graphite, crushed rocks, savory herbs and spices meld into a core of dark fruit in the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from Patria. Dark, rich and voluptuous, the 2013 brings together the best qualities of the vintage and this great site. The heady, explosive finish is incredibly appealing.
