Tasting notes
Bright red. Vibrant red berry aromas are complicated by baking spices and minerals, picking up fresh rose with air. Sweet black raspberry and candied cherry flavors offer very good purity and focus, with silky tannins adding grip to the finish. A distinctly fresh and lively style of pinot that is completely fat-free.

The medium ruby-hued 2006 Pinot Noir Estate possesses soft, strawberry and kirsch-like aromas, abundant sweet berry fruit on the palate, good acidity, and a soft, round style meant to be consumed over the next several years. In 2006, there is even a smaller amount of wine from Tom Rochioli than usual. Yields were so small and there was so little wine from the Three Corner Vineyard that it was blended with the East Block Pinot. Rochioli sells the majority of the fruit from their 140 acres of vineyards in the Russian River to other producers, which I find remarkable given the quality of what winemaker Tom Rochioli is able to achieve in addition to his superb vineyard sites.
