100% Riesling from sustainably farmed vineyards which follow strict German environmental regulations. Vinification in stainless-steel tanks with no maceration, stopped early to maintain the natural residual sugar. Winemaker Bernie Schug. TA 8.3 g/l , RS 38.1 g/l. V egan. Screwcap. B ottle weight 410 g. Available in over 200 shops. Light nose and quite a bit of sweetness and delicacy, plus chewiness. Not nearly ready. But pure and fresh and with real depth of vineyard character. GV (JR)

The 2021 Ürziger Würzgarten Kabinett is pure and flinty on the stunningly coolish and finely reductive nose. Lush and tangy on the savory palate, this is a light and crisp, perfectly round and saline Kabinett in the old style: neither too rich nor too sweet but saline and highly stimulating. Tasted as a sample ready to be bottled in July 2022.
