The 2014 Grand Cru Schlossberg Riesling (the first vintage the Trimbachs have produces in this cru) opens with a clear, dense, complex and lemony-flavored, finessed and pure nose of great delicacy. Very pure, but intense and mineral, this is a concentrated and stony, mineral Riesling, full of finesse, salt and tension. Complex, fresh and promising, with good tannin grip. Pretty closed and austere at the moment.

Fabulous aromas of granite, lemon rind, dried flowers and hints of green papaya. Full-bodied and layered with fantastic ripe fruit and balance. The phenolic tension and form is incredible. Tight and structured. First year made. The new Clos Ste. Hune?
