Saturated ruby. Lively raspberry and cherry aromas are complemented by notes of woodsmoke and licorice. Juicy and precise on the palate, offering bitter cherry and violet pastille flavors that become sweeter with air. Shows very good clarity on the nervy finish, which features gentle tannins and lingering black pepper and smoke qualities.

Even better, the 2013 Côtes du Rhône knocks it out of the park with its cassis, violets, singed leather and crushed-rock aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, ripe, textured and layered, with awesome purity, if you like the wines from this estate, get some of these.
