As for the 2013 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate, this is another beauty, with loads of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, some floral notes, sweet tannin, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a rich, layered finish. It should drink well for at least a decade.

The 2013 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate is round, creamy and beautifully layered, with plenty of sweet red cherry, plum, spice and lavender notes pushed into the foreground. Attractive spice and floral notes add to the wine's sensual, inviting personality. The Katherine Lindsay should drink nicely pretty much upon release. There is plenty of Russian River raciness here. The 2013 was done with a touch of whole clusters (4-5%), but they aren't especially evident.
The 2013 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate is once again lifted, precise and aromatic. White pepper, blood orange, chalk, mint, spices and bright red fruit are given an little more focus by the energy of the year. Although still very, very young, the 2013 is shaping up to be a jewel of a wine. The 2013 speaks to finesse and pulsating vibrancy above all else.

Paul Hobbs is one of California wine’s biggest names. Twice named Wine Personality of the Year by Robert Parker, he joined Robert Mondavi in 1977, worked at Opus One and Simi before setting up his eponymous winery in 1991.
