Score 92/100 · Drink 2024-2030, Jeb Dunnuck, Jun 2024

A deep ruby color, the 2021 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley is expressive and lush with aromas of black cherry, alpine herbs, tea leaf, and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the palate with juicy fruit and fine tannins, with a notable, savory, mouthwatering, salty touch throughout. It is drinking well now and will be best over the coming 5-6 years.

Previously bottled under the Alesia label, the 2021 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley is laden with aromas of evergreen, black cherries and crushed chalk. The palate balances soft approachability and dark-fruited, lacy concentration. The finish shows impressive length and meaty intensity, concluding with a soft, graceful landing. This will certainly gain dimension with time in the cellar but is primed for enjoyment now.
