Score 89/100 · Drink 2003-2011, Robert Parker, Dec 2003
The 2000 Altagracia is a 900-case blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. An elegant, medium-weight Bordeaux-like red with good structure and grip, it offers aromas of tobacco, loamy soil, sweet licorice, and red as well as black fruits. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. The selection for this offering is not made in the vineyard, but rather in May, immediately before bottling. Tel. (707) 942-6061; Fax (707) 942-6471
