Score 90/100 · Drink 2003-2011, Robert Parker, Dec 2003
There are 600 cases of the deep ruby/purple-colored 2001 Altagracia, a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 8% Petit Verdot. This seductive effort reveals more fruit, charm, and lushness than the structured, more narrow 2000. It should prove to be a crowd-pleaser if consumed over the next 7-8 years. The selection for this offering is not made in the vineyard, but rather in May, immediately before bottling. (Release date Summer 2004) Tel. (707) 942-6061; Fax (707) 942-6471
