Tasting notes
(the first vintage for these old vines, located about 300 yards from Roulot's Meursault Les Vireuils holding; Roulot gets the fruit through a metayage arrangement): Slightly reduced aromas of lemon drop and oatmeal. Dense and serious, conveying a sense of solidity to its very ripe lemon drop and grapefruit flavors. A rather powerful Auxey-Duresses.

Slate, crushed rocks, pears and citrus are some of the many notes that burst from the glass as the 2010 Auxey-Duresses shows off its considerable personality and charm. This vibrant, taut wine is full of the Roulot signature. The energy and sheer drive of the finish is compelling. This is a fabulous vintage for the newest addition to the Roulot lineup.
