Tasting notes
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is brilliant. Deep purple-hued, with incredible cassis and blueberry fruit as well as tobacco, graphite, damp earth, leather, and violets, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a round, layered, seamless texture, ultra-fine tannins, and a great, great finish. This tour de force is going to evolve gracefully for 30 years or more. It's one of the finest wines I've tasted from this estate. 189 cases.

Arietta's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is outstanding. It will require a number of years to be at its most expressive and for the bouquet to fully open, but all of that potential is there. Deep, layered and so well balanced, the 2019 is impressive right out of the gate. There is so much to look forward to. Inky dark fruit and a whole range of cooler-climate mineral/savory notes typical of Coombsville punctuate the huge, redolent finish.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon soars out of the glass with notions of crème de cassis, plum preserves and baked blackberries, plus hints of chocolate box, camphor and cinnamon stick, with a waft of clove oil. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with crunchy black fruits and bold freshness, featuring beautifully ripe, fine-grained tannins to support, finishing long and layered.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon emerges from one tiny block at Meteor in Coombsville. Inky and vibrant to the core, the 2019 is so impressive. It offers up an enticing melange of dark red fruit, crème de cassis, licorice, leather, scorched earth and savory herbs that convey the pure energy and mineral-infused drive that are the signatures of this great Coombsville site.
