Tasting notes
(includes 27% sauvignon musque and 4% viognier) Musky aromas of white peach, dried fruits and licorice. Glyceral-thick yet fresh in the mouth, with white peach, lemon, grapefruit and stony flavors offering lovely lift and grip. Finishes long and brisk, with strong mineral traces. An excellent vintage for this distinctive white wine.

A wine not to be missed is Araujo’s 2003 Sauvignon Blanc. A fragrant, exotic Sauvignon Blanc (two-thirds of the blend is the flamboyant clone of Sauvignon Blanc known as Musque) with 4% Viognier in the blend, it offers up tropical fruit, fig, mineral, and earth-like aromas. This elegant, crisp, medium-bodied, fresh but intense white seduces the taster by its aromatics alone, but the flavors hold up as well. Drink it over the next 1-2 years. (Release date 4/04) Tel.
