The 2014 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate is rich and boisterous, with striking Russian River exuberance in its fruit. There is an immediacy to the 2014 that makes it easy to drink, even at this early stage. Bright red cherry, plum, white flowers and mint add to the wine's racy, inviting personality. The 2014 has turned out beautifully. Clones are Calera, Swan, Dijon and 777.

Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate has a restrained nose of warm cranberries and red currants with underlying forest floor, chargrill, yeast extract and game. Medium-bodied with a beautiful backbone of finely grained tannins and lively acidity, it offers persistent earth and layers of red berry flavor and great finesse.
The 2014 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate shows a deep ruby purple color, wonderful purity, slightly more oak than its predecessors, but plenty of size, richness and substance.
The 2014 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate is the most gracious and restrained of the single-vineyard Pinots. Sensual aromatics, finely sculpted fruit and a host of expressive floral/spiced notes are all front and center in this very pretty, promising Pinot from Paul Hobbs.
About the producer
Paul Hobbs is one of California wine’s biggest names. Twice named Wine Personality of the Year by Robert Parker, he joined Robert Mondavi in 1977, worked at Opus One and Simi before setting up his eponymous winery in 1991.
