Tasting notes
There are 410 cases of the 2013 Grenache. This wine, which used 100% whole-clusters and aged 14 months in neutral French oak, offers terrific authentic aromatics of kirsch liqueur and strawberries that jump from the glass of this medium ruby-colored wine. The color looks light and somewhat insipid, but it is in no way an indication of the lush, sexy, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel. This is a beauty, but seductive, and needs to be drunk in its first 4-5 years of life.

A deceptively understated wine, the 2013 Grenache offers up compelling scents of crushed rose petal, sweet red berries, mint and sweet spices. As always, the influence of the 100% whole clusters brings a sense of weightless grace to the Outpost Grenache, but there is plenty of vintage 2013 depth in the glass as well.
Outpost's Grenache is once again striking in 2013. Violet, lavender, white pepper, tobacco, cedar and sweet spices lift from the glass as this sweet, layered highly expressive Grenache shows off its considerable personality and varietal character. The 2013 is surprisingly delicate for the year. What a gorgeous wine this is.
