Tasting notes
Moderately saturated medium red. Liqueur-like cherry on the nose. Sweet, lush and high-toned, with sound acids giving cut to the red berry and cherry flavors. Shows a dried fruit character on the back end and finishes with sweet, building tannins that give the finish good grip.

From Lodi, the 2005 Zinfandel Dogtown Vineyard is a soft, medium-bodied, slightly one-dimensional effort that is best consumed during its first 4-5 years of life. Previously recommended: As indicated last year, 2004 was a terrific vintage for Turley Zinfandels. If they can still be found, I would opt for purchasing them over their lighter 2005 counterparts.
