Tasting notes
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a very good wine in this vintage. Blackberry, mocha, espresso, licorice and sweet spice are all pushed in this opulent yet mid-weight wine. The 2020 was made from just the first two picks of the year. It spent less time on the skins and saw aging in mostly neutral oak. Even so, it is a dark, dense Cabernet Sauvignon that is in line with the norm here stylistically. This potent, super-concentrated Cabernet is not at all subtle, but it does represent a very fine achievement for the estate and the team led by winemaker Martha McClellan.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a tiny production from the 30% of the crop that was not lost, all picked before the Glass Fire. Blackberry jam, menthol, bittersweet chocolate and incense lend gorgeous complexity. This is very, very good for the year.
