The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Cimarossa Vineyard is such a classic Howell Mountain wine. Scorched earth, leather, licorice, tobacco, licorice and gravel lend striking aromatic nuance to this virile, potent Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2018 is a real stunner. Its breadth, power and resonance are thrilling. (AG)

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Cimarossa Vineyard (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) comes from a site on Howell Mountain and offers classic structure and depth as well as textbook black fruits, bay leaf, wild herbs, crushed rocks, violets, and tobacco. Pure, medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, with good acidity, ripe tannins, solid mid-palate depth, and a great finish, it's a complex, ageworthy wine that's going to benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and keep for two decades.
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Cimarossa Vineyard is a fabulous example of this Howell Mountain site. Dark, powerful and inward, the 2017 possesses tremendous depth to go with a real sense of gravitas. Smoke, gravel, menthol, licorice and black cherry all run through this potent, resonant Cabernet. (AG)
Aromas of black tea and black olives with blueberry and blackberry undertones. Medium-to full-bodied with a mid-palate that grows beautifully. Lovely flavors and intensity. Mineral undertone. Drink after 2021, but already delicious.
