Score 93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2010
Vibrant ruby. Aromatic, high-pitched nose combines black raspberry, cherry, violet pastille and smoky minerals. Juicy, spicy and sweet, with a supple texture and excellent complexity to the flavors of dark berries, minerals and candied flowers. As densely packed as this is, it's extremely fresh as well, finishing with a fine dusting of tannins and incisive, spicy length.

About the producer

Kistler
Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
