Pale color. Aromas of peach and apricot complicated by leesy and floral nuances. Juicy, spicy and bright, with ripe citrus and tropical fruit flavors perked up by firm acidity. Half of this wine was fermented in stainless steel, as winemaker Ed Sbragia is no longer barrel-fermenting Carneros fruit.

The 2004 Chardonnay, which has already been bottled, is typical of the vintage – forward, fruity, with loads of popcorn and pineapple fruit in a luscious yet surprisingly elegant style. This wine should drink well for another 1-2 years. Tel. (707) 963-7115; Fax (707) 963-1735
