Tasting notes
The 2013 Patrimony is still vibrant, scented of cassis, violets, grilled meats, cigars and iron, with the savory notes of maturity just beginning to unfold. The medium-bodied palate is cashmere-like in texture, with a seamlessness, lift and shimmering mineral character that set it apart from other Cabernet Sauvignons in Paso Robles. Don't hesitate to grab a bottle of this, if you can find one!

Dark purple. Intensely perfumed cherry liqueur and cassis aromas, complemented by suggestions of potpourri, vanilla and pipe tobacco. Dense, alluringly sweet dark berry preserve and floral pastille flavors are sharpened by smoky mineral and cracked pepper notes that build in the glass. Surprisingly graceful for such a rich wine, finishing with smooth, harmonious tannins and outstanding, floral- and spice-driven persistence.
Opaque ruby. Sexy floral lift to the aromas of blackberry, cherry liqueur and vanilla, complicated by clove and woodsmoke. Juicy and open-knit, boasting very good depth to its sappy dark fruit, cherry-vanilla and mocha flavors. Tightens up on the youthfully tannic finish, with the floral element echoing.
