From a blend of sites in Marsannay – Clos du Roy, Longerois and Es Chezots. 30% whole bunch. Aged in 500-litre barrels. Deeper hue and heft, as expected from this AOP. Full of dark fruit but fresh and forceful on the palate. Perfumed nose adds more complexity. Should age very nicely. (AWH)

Including young vine fruit from some of Fournier's best sites, as well as holdings in vineyards that won't be included among Marsannay's forthcoming premiers crus, the 2020 Marsannay Cuvée Saint-Urbain is a medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent wine bursting with aromas of red berries, cherries and petals. Fleshy and charming, it's already drinking well.
