Tasting notes
Screwcapped bottle. Despite the screwcap this had evolved considerably, perhaps because the year was relatively hot. But it was classic middle-aged Riesling, delightfully pure and deep-flavoured. I’m almost tempted to give it a 17! (JR)

Trimbach's generic 2020 Riesling opens with clear and tart white fruit on the slightly flinty nose. Light, fresh and elegant on the palate, with good acidity and a somewhat phenolic finish, this is a forward and savory dry Riesling bottled with 13% stated alcohol. Tasted in May 2022.
Although this is packed with citrus, pear and white-peach aromas, it\'s so pure and straight that the simple description "fruity" would be far too one-sided to adequately describe what makes this wine stand out. So energetic that it feels much lighter than it really is (13% alcohol). Fine tannins at the finish underline the dry style. Drink or hold.
