Mid ruby. Intense nose of prunes. Really complex and rich. Maybe not the most ethereal but very satisfying palate impact. A dry, leathery palate scrub on the end, at present. (JR)

A restrained Barolo with intense dried cherries, citrus, leather, gardenias, mint, balsamic, camphor and eucalyptus on the nose, enhanced by sweet violets. The attack is powerful, with a full body, crisp acidity and firm, velvety, graceful tannins. Great fruit concentration coats the structure. Amazing and warming length. Try after 2027, but best from 2031.
