The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a tightly wound bouquet with black cherries and bilberry fruit with pressed iris top notes. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, quite supple with a touch of spice towards the finish. Quite dense and muscular, this will require four or five years in bottle to soften those tannins.

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has an intense bouquet of potent floral aromas, black cherries and touches of crushed rock. The palate is well balanced, the 42% whole bunch (Esmonin is very exact) lending a light pepperiness. Modest depth and length, but there is good grip on the finish, and a spicy note lingers after the wine has exited. Good potential.
