The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Village is a little fuller on the nose than the Meursault Village, featuring attractive aromas of hazelnut and orange pith – actually quite Meursault-like in style. The palate is well balanced with impressive concentration, especially for a Village Cru, and crammed full of green apples and pears. A light saline note emerges toward the satisfying finish. Excellent.

This is impressive from the outset with a wealth of white peaches and melon, as well as green mangoes and subtle hazelnut notes. The palate has a very long, fresh delivery of fine and open-knit peaches and lemons. Plush and open. Drinking well already.
The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Village reveals a pretty bouquet of white peach, lemon, citrus blossom and beeswax. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, elegant and glossy, with an open-knit, succulent profile. This will drink well on release.
Bottled 12 October 2018. Inviting leesy/creamy aroma with citrus and pear fruit. Crisp acidity and quite firm in texture. Deep rather than refined. Long, like all these 2017s. (JH)
