Mid crimson. Good intensity of ripe fruit on the nose. Very charming already. Some firm Nuits structure but no excess tannins. And the fruit does seem rather riper than average. VGV (JR)

The 2013 Marsannay Clemongeots has a distinct mulberry and fresh strawberry bouquet with a hint of dried cocoa powder in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, good acidity but very tight and linear, clamming up on the attenuated finish that should fan out once in bottle. Give this a year, maybe two, to show what it can do.
