Score 87-89/100 · Drink 2009-2017, Robert Parker, Apr 2009
The deep ruby-hued 2007 Cote Rotie Les Triots offers up pleasing red and black currant fruit with hints of herbaceousness as well as ground pepper, and a medium-bodied finish. It should last 6-8 years. (Not yet released) An up-and-coming, well-run domaine at the southern end of the appellation, Domaine Garon is producing subtle, stylish Cote Roties with a Burgundian-like sensitivity. The proprietors, the husband and wife team of Jean-Francois and Carmen Garon, used to sell much of their production to Guigal, but as so many small Cote Rotie vignerons are now doing, they are estate bottling nearly all of it.
