Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2024-2036, Neal Martin, Jan 2023

The 2021 Vosne-Romanée La Combe Brûlée Vieilles Vignes is an intensely taut, mineral Vosne built on energy and brightness. Salivating acids run through a core of red-fleshed fruit, smoke, slate, dried herbs and blood orange. This fleshes out nicely on the back end without losing energy. Because of its late-ripening character, this parcel on limestone soils was more protected from the frost than many other sites among the domaine's holdings. - Antonio Galloni
