Alluring aroma of intensely perfumed red fruit. Youthful beauty and seductive charm in its florally accented red fruits. A wine I just want to keep smelling. On the palate, just as captivating. Pure, scented, with the finest of taninns. Stunning in its combination of delicacy and intensity. I could drink this now, so I find it particularly difficult to be confident about suggested drinking dates. So refined. (JH)

The 2021 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has a perfumed bouquet with wilted rose petal infusing the wild strawberry and raspberry fruit, just a light marine scent in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with a healthy dash of black pepper on the entry, slightly gritty tannins, rather dry on the finish at the moment. Hopefully, it will develop more flesh with time in bottle.
