Score 92/100 · Drink 2016-2026, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Sep 2015
The estate's 2012 Montesodi (Sangiovese) is a bit darker and richer than the 2012 Chianti Rufina Riserva Nipozzano Vecchie Viti, but it is also quite tasty. Here the flavor profile leans towards the darker end of the Sangiovese spectrum. Sweet black cherries, mint, cloves and new leather meld together in a voluptuous, fleshy Sangiovese to drink now and over the next decade.
