The 2009 Haut-Bergeron does not quite possess the same delineation and vibrancy on the nose as the 2010, with beeswax, quince and touches of wet wool. The palate is slightly more unctuous than the 2010, well-balanced with lemongrass, white pepper and dried honey towards the finish. À point. Tasted at a vertical at the château.

Pale gold, the 2009 Haut-Bergeron gives up tantalizing notions of dried apricots, almond croissant, baked lemons and spice cake with hints of musk perfume, fungi and crystalized ginger. The decadently sweet palate has an unctuously oily texture and tons of fruit with just enough freshness, finishing very long and very spicy.
