Tasting notes
Tasted blind. Deep orangey gold. Not much nose. Toast and quince on the palate with lots of acidity. Clean, brisk and fresh. (JR)

The 2015 Filhot has an enticing, pure bouquet with saffron-infused honeyed fruit, fine delineation and vigor. The palate is very well balanced with tangy quince and marmalade notes. This has an appealing, viscous texture though you could argue it doesn't have the length of the best Sauternes. The 2015 is still attractive though. Tasted blind at the 2015 Bordeaux Ten-Year-On tasting at Farr Vintners.
Full bottle 699 g per 37.5 cl. Honeycomb, wax and baked honeycomb cake. A whiff of purple flowers on the nose, parma violets, and even Fanta Grape (!). A purple confectionery that traces treacle and waffle and violets and the slow syrupy slick of maple pancakes. Very, very sweet – toffeed sweetness. Dense. (TC)
