The 2012 Barbaresco Paolin is a smart and simple wine with dark cherry and blackberry at its core. This is a loosely knit expression of Nebbiolo with pretty softness and textural richness that wraps thickly over the palate.

Neive. Mid ruby with pale orange rim. A little reductive on the nose and a tiny bit stewed on the palate. Big load of acidity and grainy tannins. Almost a little tart on the finish, but the fragrant finish is not without class. (WS)
