Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2024-2040, Neal Martin, Dec 2021
Containing 35% whole bunch, the 2020 Beaune Champs Pimonts 1er Cru has a more complex nose than the Clos de la Féguine, light flinty scents infusing the black fruit, nicely focused and full of character. The palate is medium-bodied with edgy, chalky tannins on the entry. This is a strict and linear Beaune, fresh and sapid towards the finish. I envisage this ageing with style in bottle.
