Cask sample. Precise, refined, focused Clos de Vougeot. Purity of dark berry/plum fruit. Fine oak, fine tannins, all in very good order but too expensive. (AWH)

(from a .35 ha holding in Les 10 Journaux). Guyon noted that the 2022 version of this wine is the best that he’s ever made. It offers a discreet though not invisible dollop of wood on the aromas of spiced plum, underbrush and newly turned earth. There is again excellent vibrancy to the detailed and quite powerful flavors that manage to do this despite not being particularly dense, all wrapped in a seductive finish that offers notably better complexity and length
