Score 88/100 · Drink 2018-2024, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2017
The 2015 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir, which comes from 62-year-old vines, was a few paces behind the other Grand Crus from Louis Moreau this year. It has a relatively straightforward bouquet for this vineyard, when I would have expected more complexity. The palate is honeyed on the entry with moderate acidity, waxy in texture but missing some tension and nervosité on the finish. This just seems to have succumbed to the warmth of the vintage more than its peers. I leave a question mark against the score as there may be better bottles out there.
