The 2023 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Petits Monts is beautifully pure and ethereal, bursting with notes of red berries, spices, smoked tea and incense. Medium to full-bodied, supple and layered, with melting tannins and a long, saline finish, it's the most elegant rendition of this site that Felettig has produced to date.

The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Les Petits-Monts 1er Cru includes 40% whole bunches this year and matured entirely in new oak. It was the first time that Felettig began the picking with this cuvée. Currently, the wood profile is more vocal than the fruit, though there is plenty of concentration here. The palate is finely chiseled, quite minerally and medium-bodied with supple tannins and a limestone-tinged finish with real animation. It is very classy, but it will need time to absorb the oak. Only two barrels were produced.
