Tasting notes
A ripe red with aromas of plums, orange peel, dried flowers and stones, following through to a medium body with ultra-fine tannins and a level of balance and refinement that provides a sense of sophistication and harmony. Rather ethereal and subtle, it takes time to show itself. Great length, building nicely through the finish. Give this a year or two. But it will age beautifully for years to come.

The 2023 Chambertin Grand Cru Cuvée Heritiers Latour is also showing very well, wafting from the glass with aromas of cherries, peonies, exotic spices and licorice, framed by creamy new oak. Full-bodied, ample and seamless, it's suave and layered, with a sweet core of fruit and a long, expansive finish.

About the producer
The Latour family has been growing vines in Burgundy since at least 1731. Their négociant business – today one of the region’s biggest names – was founded in 1797. Still family-owned today, the company owns 48 hectares of vines, 27 of which are Grand Cru, as well as its own cooperage.
