Tasting notes
The 2023 Echézeaux Grand Cru wears its heart on its sleeve, bursting with notes of orange zest, raspberries, exotic spices and incense. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with an enveloping core of succulent, perfumed fruit and melting structuring tannins, it concludes with a saline finish.

60% whole bunch. Cask sample. Mid-pale ruby. Elegant and quite fine-boned. Fine red cherry and strawberry on the nose. Concentration and the mass of a grand cru shows on the tannins at the end. Elegance with a firm structure and persistence. (MH)
The 2023 Echézeaux Grand Cru comes from three tiny parcels. It was picked on the first day of harvest, so it includes some stems (60%). The whole cluster character shapes the nose, with black pepper and touches of oyster shell infusing the red cherry and strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and crisp acidity, lightly spiced with touches of black pepper toward the finish. This a classy, fresh and quite delicious Echézeaux.
