Tasting notes
The 2023 Meursault 1er Cru Porusot is charming and expressive, offering up notes of pear, orange oil, nutmeg and white flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegantly textural palate built around a lively spine and concluding with a saline finish.

Tank sample. Mid lemon. Bright citrus and apple. Extremely concentrated, almost oily and liqueur-like on the palate. Lively, crisp acidity keeps it fresh and there is a real salty character to the intense finish. (MH)
The 2023 Meursault Les Porusots 1er Cru comes from two parcels. It has a fragrant bouquet with crushed stone infusing the citrus fruit and pressed white flower aromas. This is very focused and refined. The palate is well balanced with a keen thread of acidity, lightly spiced with a touch of wild honey toward the finish. I often feel that this cuvée is underestimated by Roulot cognoscenti. On the other hand, in this vintage, it seems just one step behind his other Premier Crus.
