Fairly concentrated purple. The nose is reticent but there is a good weight of dark fruit, just more red than black, with a seamless texture, kept honest by a few tannins at the finish. A fair amount of structure behind. Still growing on the palate.

The 2023 Beaune Les Bressandes 1er Cru contains 25% whole cluster and has a vibrant, minerally, lively bouquet that bursts from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. It has good body, density and decent length, but not the complexity I found in the 2022. Drink this over the next eight to ten years.
