Muscular but built like a javelin-thrower with super form and balance on the palate, this shows bright fruit, phenolics and energetic, vibrating acidity. Perfumed aromas of thistle, honeysuckle, rose stems, dried apples and citrus. Medium- to full-bodied, it has compacted, integrated fruit as well as tension and so much length. Incredible wine. Drink or hold.

The 2023 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru offers up aromas of pear, buttery pastry, toasted hazelnuts and nutmeg, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered palate that's racy and penetrating.

The 2023 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a complex bouquet with citrus fruit, light peppermint notes and hints of honeysuckle and brioche. The palate is well balanced with a satisfying, slightly honeyed texture counterbalanced by the keen line of acidity. This is very harmonious and very poised, with a dash of spice toward the finish. Excellent.

Yellow marl on top of limestone. Mostly planted north-south so the western side is sheltered from the sun. A touch of banana in the fruit on the nose. Almost tannic, in part from the wood, but there is grip and tension also in the fruit. Very incisive, and still very backward. Drink from 2030-2038.
