Tasting notes
The 2023 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières is excellent, mingling aromas of pear and apple with hints of clear honey, white flowers, toasted nuts and buttery pastry. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless, it's layered and lively, concluding with chalky grip on the finish.

The 2023 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru is a level up from the Poruzot, with more mineralité and delineation and greater energy. This sprints from the glass. The palate is well balanced with touches of nectarine and tangerine and a keen line of acidity, very harmonious with just a lick of honey on the finish. Lovely.
Racked to foudre. Really quite a magical nose, all the subtleties one hopes for in Genevrières, dancing fruit with pinpoint accuracy, enormously graceful fruit with some lemon tints. Retasted at an event on the eve of the Hospices de Beaune sale, the Genevrières soared even further up the quality scale.
